In the next match, Yawara wins quickly with an ippon. A doctor warns Sayaka that her broken leg risks permanent damage to her judo career, but she refuses to forfeit to avoid shame. Shinnosuke kisses her to stop her, causing her to faint and be hospitalized, resulting in a forfeit loss. Meanwhile, Jody and Teleshikova train intensely for their upcoming matches against Yawara.
