Ep. 93: Kyon-Kyon Risks Her Life
Aired on January 13, 1992

93
Matsuda attempts to share gathered data regarding opponent Deneuve, a World #3 specialist in uchi mata, but Paddy-field loses despite the intelligence. Next, Kyon-Kyon shares her history of isolation due to poor health, explaining how judo helped her and vowing to risk her life for Yawara. Though weak, she absorbs lessons quickly, scoring a yuko with an unexpected deashi barai. She defends by turning into a "turtle" and failing her arms as Yawara taught. Confused by contradictory advice from teammates, she is placed in a choke hold. Refusing to submit, she loses consciousness and the match. The score becomes 1 to 2 as Sayuri faces a heavyweight opponent, unaware of the advice being given to her.
