Ep. 8: Protagonist discovers author details in novel and confronts Ozu about correspondence prank

The protagonist joins the silent Reading Circle Sea club, where Ozu provides a young adult novel. Inside the cover, he finds the author Keiko’s name and address, initiating a correspondence. After caring for the love-doll Kaori, he drinks with Hanuki and realizes his feelings for Keiko. He rushes to meet her but encounters Ozu instead. Akashi reveals the letters were a prank started by Ozu that she continued. She thanks him for rescuing her previously as a superhero. The protagonist returns home, arguing with his Johnny persona about wanting the superhero identity. Regretting his actions, he desires love life victory as time suddenly moves backward.
