Marik activates the effect of Ra to destroy Slifer, then revives the monster to launch an attack against Yugi. In response, Yugi utilizes the card Fiend's Sanctuary, which was provided by Kaiba, to halt Marik's assault. Following this defense, Yugi employs the Multiply spell card to summon Obelisk the Tormentor. This powerful summoning allows Yugi to severely damage Marik and turn the tide of the duel.
