Marik’s benevolent personality reclaims Tea’s body, urging Yugi to destroy both his good and evil halves. However, as his dark side loses life points, the good Marik begins to fade, causing Yugi and the Pharaoh to hesitate in their duel. Before disappearing completely, Marik appears to the unconscious Odion, expressing gratitude for his care and apologizing for his past cruelty. He wishes he could undo his harmful actions. The scene ends with a cliffhanger as Odion awakens, having heard Marik’s sincere apology.
