Aug 11, 2004The Pharaoh calls upon the Three Egyptian Gods to fight Zorc, but Zorc blocks the Sun, stripping them of power and turning them to stone. In the Shadow Realm, Yami Bakura leaves the table to unite with his 5,000-year-old counterpart, Zorc, while sending the current Pharaoh to the battlefield to meet his past self. Back in the duel, Yami Bakura’s strategy puts Yugi in a difficult position. However, driven by the hope that the Pharaoh, Joey, and Téa are relying on him, Yugi persists and draws a crucial card that may shift the outcome of the match.

The group focuses on the item, causing the ancient characters to materialize on its surface. The Pharaoh reads the inscription, recovering his true name, Atem. Empowered by this revelation, he revives the three Egyptian Gods and fuses them into Horakhty, a level 12 warrior-type Divine-God attribute monster with infinite attack and defense points that guarantees an instant win upon successful summoning. Using Horakhty's Shining Light, the Pharaoh destroys Zorc permanently. He then entrusts the Millennium Items to the revived Priest Seto, appointing him the next Pharaoh of Egypt. With his past duty fulfilled, Atem's body dissolves as Seto vows to rule justly, and Atem departs the Memory World with his friends.

However, when Yugi attacks with Silent Swordsman, Atem activates the face-down Trap Card Mirror Force, destroying all of Yugi's monsters and seemingly securing an unassailable position for himself.

Various characters prepare for new duels, and the series concludes with Yugi stating his story extends beyond the Pharaoh’s defeat of Zorc Necrophades.
