After collapsing, Merry is taken home by Yumeji to the Tachibana family café, where Isana Tachibana and her father assist her. Merry reveals to Yumeji that she hunts dream demons to find a way back to her original world, though this leads to further inquiries. That night, Merry chooses to depart and handle matters independently, prompting Yumeji to firmly decide on his commitment to aiding her. In a separate dream world, a girl named Yumi who aspires to become a nurse is accompanied by her resident dream demon, Serio. Tragically, Serio is suddenly killed, causing Yumi to lose all her goals and aspirations.
