Ep. 5: Merry and Yumeji confront a dream demon while Isana mourns her idol's retirement.

Isana falls into depression after learning her idol Yokato has resigned from singing on television. Meanwhile, Yumeji and Merry go grocery shopping, where Yumeji discovers Merry arrived in the real world approximately ten years ago. They encounter a girl named Yui Kounagi, whom Yumeji assists in retrieving a dropped doll. Yui is the willing vessel for a dream demon named Engi Threepiece, who traps Yumeji and Merry in a daydream. Engi questions them regarding Pharos Hercules before attacking Merry. Merry attempts to send Engi back, but Engi reveals dream demons cannot return, noting her sister died upon entering the real world. Doubting her actions, Merry falters, forcing Yumeji to intervene and take a slash to his chest.
