Ep. 1: Louise the Zero: A Magician's Failure and a Summoned Boy's Arrival

At Tristain Academy in Halkeginia, Louise Vallière struggles with magic, earning the nickname Zero after a classroom explosion during a pebble-to-brass exercise. During the familiar summoning ritual, classmates Kirche and Guiche successfully call a fire salamander and a mole named Verdandi. Louise instead summons Saito Hiraga, an ordinary boy from Tokyo, Japan. Unable to reverse the summoning, she kisses him to form a contract, causing runes to appear on his left hand. A failed silence spell backfires, granting Saito the ability to speak and understand her language. He remains confused until he observes two moons in the sky, confirming his presence in a different world.
