Later, during the Tanabata festival, Nozomu doubts the custom until Kafuka Fuura convinces him that all wishes come true in the afterlife. Her belief persuades the attendees, leading them to form a cult based on this idea. The narrative connects the mystery of the twelve women associated with Sakebu to the subsequent social phenomenon sparked by Fuura's philosophy during the celebration.
