Saburo Arima moves to Tokyo from Niigata and meets Fumie, eventually living with her daughter Rinko on the second floor of her bar called "Bun." Rinko's father unexpectedly arrives from his home and informs her that her mother is seriously ill. Concerned, Saburo takes Rinko to visit her parents and confirms the mother is unharmed. Afterward, Saburo leaves Rinko with her parents and returns to "Sentence" by himself.
