Shisha no Sho

A young noblewoman named Iratsume enters a trance after transcribing Buddhist scriptures and proceeds to a temple off-limits to women. Her presence awakens the spirit of Prince Otsu, who was executed. The ghost believes Iratsume is a distant ancestor, a woman who witnessed his death. The woman’s appearance was the final image the prince saw before his execution, and her memory prevents his spirit from finding peace.
