The Festum is able to sense and anticipate Kazuki's moves. Kazuki is given a rail gun at the last moment and is able to defeat the enemy. In the aftermath, many children were oblivious to find out of their parents' involvement with previous alien invasions. Soushi reveals to Kazuki that Japan was destroyed twenty-nine years ago.
