A 15-year-old high school sophomore, Shinozaki Mikoto, is often bullied due to his timid nature and small stature. Fukazawa Yuki, a girl he admires, recognizes a strong inner resolve beneath his shy exterior. To help promote the school's new cycling club, she introduces him to cycling and encourages him to join, believing he has a unique potential for the sport.
