A mountaineer named Shiga leaves his remote lodge and travels to Tokyo to search for Megumi, the missing child of his late friend Tatsuko and Yoriko, a woman he has long been in love with. His search leads him into the realm of compensated dating and troubled youth, where he uncovers hints that Megumi might have been taken by a powerful and influential pedophile.
