As the DigiDestined return to the Digital World, encountering Chuumon who lost his friend Sukamon, they learn of a quartet of Mega-level Digimon called the Dark Masters have taken it over while they were in Tokyo. With their Digimon assuming their champion forms to face MetalSeadramon before assuming their ultimate forms to fight Machinedramon, the DigiDestined are overpowered as the Puppetmon reverts the Digimon to their usual forms. After the Dark Masters' leader Piedmon proves to be more than a match for WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon while killing off Chuumon, the gather Dark Masters were about to finish off the DigiDestined. Luckily, Piximon manages to save the children, sacrificing himself to escape to ensure the children's escape. (Source: Wikipedia)
