While the battle unfolds, Tai entrusts Sora and T.K. with the mission finding the remainder of the Digidestined. At this time, Joe and Mimi arrive at the ruins of Primary Village and find Elecmon, who joins them for the final battle against Piemon. Joe and Gomamon decide to go off by themselves for a while to see if they can find their own place in the team. Meanwhile, Angewomon struggles to fend off LadyDevimon, who begins to overpower her rival with her superior battle-savvy and cunning. Outraged and flustered by LadyDevimon's mock flirtations and taunts, Angewomon charges into melee against her counterpart, and the two end up in a heated catfight, complete with hair-pulling and slapping matches. LadyDevimon eventually defeats Angewomon with a well-timed roundhouse kick that knocks the angel out of the sky. However, just as LadyDevimon is about to finish Angewomon off, MegaKabuterimon manages to save Angewomon, paving the path for a final confrontation with Piedmon.
