Brandon turns to Jester, who demands that he leave town with his life for Maria's sake and then saves Brandon from Deed's men, before being killed by Ladd. Harry and his friends arrive to help, but everyone is killed except for Brandon and Harry in the end, before a man from Millennion, Bear Walken, arrives and rescues them, killing Ladd.
