Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou

A young girl named Alpha manages a small cafe on the outskirts of Yokohama, a city in a future where the sea has flooded much of the land and roads are buried under sand or water. The cafe sees few customers, but Alpha is content with the occasional visits from an elderly man who owns a nearby gas station and his grandson, Takahiro. She remains at the cafe in place of her owner, who is away on an unspecified absence. Alpha is, in fact, a robot.
