The fate of Kujirai B is partially revealed. Kujirai A meets with Dr. Hebinuma and asks if she's a zirconian and gets an unexpected response. She decides to go shopping in Hong Kong with Yaomei but they meet Gwen who reveals even more about Kowloon, the Second Walled City.

Yaomay goes to Hong Kong and investigates the second walled city of Kowloon. She discovered that everyone believes that the second walled city of Kowloon was razed three years ago, and that it still exists is an urban legend. She also discovered that any money earned in Kowloon disappears when you leave the city. In an internet cafe she goes online to investigate further and ends up chatting with Yulong, a confederate of Dr. Hebinuma the hermaphrodite. She also realizes that it's always summer in Kowloon. While the rest of asia was going through winter, she spent a hot, steamy summer in Kowloon. While she is gone investigating, Reiko and Hajime rekindle their romance.

Yaomay returns from Hong Kong with information on Kowloon but the moment she drinks locally made ice coffee, she forgets it all. Xiaohei, the local janitor is not all that he appears to be. He even has a code name: Snakeberry.

Reiko notices that Kujirai B's glasses show her Kujirai B's visions. She peals a talisman off the wall and on the back it says "403 FORBIDDEN." Xiaohei continues his work as a janitor, but he has a duplicate in the city, a Xiaohei from three years earlier. Normally when a 'real' person enters the city, their duplicate disappears. Yaomai's memories were coming back when ate a piece of chocolate and things started to happen.

Reiko take the boy Xaohei to meet the girl Xaohei. Gwen starts to figure out how this Kowloon was created, and Yaomai begins to recover her memories after abstaining from food from Kowloon.
