In the world of the Kais, Kibito heals Gohan, and the Supreme Kai tells him about the Z Sword. It is a mystical sword that contains great power, and even the Kais themselves could not pull it from the rock it is now stuck in. The Supreme Kai believes that Gohan possesses the strength to do so.
