Gedächtnis complies with her wishes, and uses the castle's image database to search for pictures of the animal. After locating photos of dolphins in the database, Gedächtnis explains that the dolphin was once the second most intelligent animals on Earth. Just as she ask to see the pictures, however, the power in the manor goes out leaving them in total darkness. Although she fancies the hairstyle, Gedächtnis informs her that it is actually flying gear that can be activated by clicking her heels three times. Gedächtnis seems slightly uncomfortable with the question, but shows Drossel the many letters he has collected. He proceeds to explain that there is a city around the mansion and a desert around the surrounding city. Drossel claims she is exchanging letters with a person called Umerudeberu (although she has never left the mansion) and Gedächtnis suggests she use the transmission beam, which she turns down. He explains that her father had spent 20,000 years hoping the war would come to an end. Drossel believes the butterflies are birds and reflects on whether they are like dolphins, humans, or machines. The butterflies all seem to disappear after they surround Drossel... Drossel of course claims its karate and not Caporeia, after he questions her, which is met with the sound of laughter. Drossel claims there must be spies laughing in the main hall, but Gedächtnis claims it is not possible for Tempest Tower to be breached. Schadenfreude then randomly appears, and Drossel wonders if he bites. Gedächtnis suggests she not appear as a threat to him. He then jumps on each of their heads before losing his balance and falling to the ground, causing his lightbulb eye to fall and roll into a pile of more lights of the same size and in different colors. Its is known as "Operation Fireball: A New Hope". However, before he can read it Schadenfreude plays a recording of the message while moving his feet. "Long, long ago, the world was one. Man and machine spoke the same language. The flowers sang, and the trees danced. And the desert was alive." He then narrowly escapes being crushed by a piece of the ceiling, as the top of the Tempest Tower is destroyed, and leaves the scene.
