Bankotsu sets his sight on Inuyasha, using all seven shards of the Shikon Jewel. Bankotsu explains how he the Band of Seven was joined after he first met Naraku, who mentions about the manifestation of the Shikon Jewel. Bankotsu recalls the moment that he was resurrected by Naraku with a shard of the Shikon Jewel. Miroku and Sango return to the shaft, as they are met by Kagura once again. It is discovered that Naraku used Saint Hakushin to reside within the barrier of Mount Hakurei in order to complete his demonic transformation, all due to the fact that Inuyasha has acquired the Barrier Shattering.
