He recounts his history with the Band of Seven, detailing his initial encounter with Naraku and the subsequent resurrection facilitated by a jewel shard. Meanwhile, Miroku and Sango return to the shaft, where they encounter Kagura. It is revealed that Naraku inhabited Saint Hakushin within the Mount Hakurei barrier to finalize his demonic transformation, a process enabled by Inuyasha acquiring the Barrier Shattering. Kagome successfully determines the location of both Naraku and Bankotsu inside the mountain.
