Donatello and Kaburagi discuss the potential ways to get into the Gadoll Factory, but are quickly shut down at every suggestion. Jill explains that there is a field surrounding the factory that detects chips placed in avatars, and Kaburagi suggests that they retrieve his former avatar, which was kept in an archive by Minato. Donatello, Kaburagi and three other inmates break into the archive and successfully steal the avatar from under the nose of Hugin, who had received a tip about Kaburagi's avatar. Kaburagi uses his old avatar to reunite with Natsume and Kurenai and asks Natsume to assist him in destroying the Gadoll Factory. Minato meets with Kaburagi to convince him to give up on his plan, but Kaburagi refuses.
