Craniamon freed BanchoLeomon and took over his place to hold the Digital World from falling onto the Human world. It is BanchoLeomon who stops Masaru from getting closer to Yggdrasil and reveals the stunning truth that it is in fact Suguru in the Digimon's body while his body is taken over by Yggdrasil. Suguru-BanchoLeomon tells the DATS team how during his past exploits in the Digital World, he met BanchoLeomon, both who become friends with their fists, and the truth about Yggdrasil's intentions because of Kurata's cruel actions. But Yggdrasil won't go down easily, so Suguru-BanchoLeomon holds him in place and asks Masaru to sacrifice him along with Yggdrasil to save the Human world. Masaru does so. Although it turns out that Suguru-BanchoLeomon's sacrifice was in vain, as Yggdrasil reappears in his true form. (Source: Wikipedia)
