Hajime no Ippo: THE FIGHTING!

A boy named Ippo has endured years of bullying and mistreatment, often doing chores and being physically abused by his peers. He longs for change but lacks the motivation to take action. During an instance of bullying, Ippo is rescued by Mamoru Takamura, a boxer. Injured, Ippo passes out and is taken to the Kamogawa boxing gym. Upon waking, he is fascinated by the gym but unsure of his own abilities. Takamura places a picture of one of Ippo's tormentors on a punching bag and encourages Ippo to strike it. This moment awakens a new feeling in Ippo, prompting him to request training. Believing Ippo is unprepared, Takamura assigns him a difficult challenge with a one-week deadline. Determined to improve for himself and his mother, Ippo works hard to complete the task, marking the start of his boxing journey.
