Xiang Ying realizes Yuji’s rebellion stems from a desire to help his family and urges him to reconcile with Yusuke. Meanwhile, Yuji’s yakuza group intends to sacrifice him for a smuggling scheme and dispatches killers. Xiang Ying intervenes by kidnapping Yuji after offering to return his money and drugs, thereby shielding him from the assassins. On Christmas Eve, the two brothers are shot and appear to die. However, Ryo reveals he used tranquilizer darts to simulate their deaths. He subsequently arranges for them to work in a restaurant in Taiwan, ensuring their safety while maintaining the illusion of their demise.
