The Blue Knight attacks humans to protect mistreated robots, causing Atom concern over human-robot relations. Meanwhile, the anti-robotist Lamp, influenced by Tenma and armed with a Dr. Tenma weapon, travels to the artificial Pacific Steel Island to exterminate the Blue Knight and his charges. Atom arrives to find the island in chaos as Lamp seeks to destroy the robots and the Blue Knight attempts to kill humans. Caught between these forces, Atom strives to save both sides. However, Lamp has triggered a bomb designed to annihilate the robots and holds the detonator, threatening total destruction unless he is stopped.
