Ep. 9: A Frankenstein-like robot escapes a dumping valley and seeks its friend Taku.

In a remote mountain valley, illegal dumpers discard broken robots. One survivor assembles itself from scrap, resembling Frankenstein's monster, and flees police pursuit by burrowing underground. It travels to a town to find Taku, a boy in Atom’s school. The robot is actually Al, who had been taken by a collection agency. Taku is searching for Al, and the two reunite. However, Al’s grotesque, patched-up appearance prevents Taku from recognizing him. Disturbed by this monstrous form, Taku runs away in fear, leaving Al heartbroken and alone despite their prior friendship.
