Grieving over Preyas, Marucho follows Klaus into Masquerade’s lair with Runo. They discover Bakugan evolution secrets on a computer before Julio Santana, the fourth-ranked brawler, challenges them. Dan is unexpectedly pulled into the fight, which intensifies as Drago powers up independently. Dan and Runo defeat Julio, allowing the group to return safely. The brawlers discuss Masquerade’s search for the ultimate Bakugan. Drago theorizes that the Infinity Core might fuse with it, similar to the Silent Core and Naga. Julie fears Hydranoid could be the target, prompting the team to resolve to evolve their own Bakugan into the ultimate form before Hydranoid does.
