The Bladebreakers travel to frozen Lake Baikal after Kai demands a meeting. Max joins them late, arriving by parachute from his mother's plane. Kai easily defeats Takao, Rei, and Kyojyu in a combined attack. Max launches his improved Draciel to stall Kai’s eight-bit beasts. Takao seizes the opportunity to summon Dranzer. Together, they combine their powers to defeat Black Dranzer. Kai regrets his defeat as the ice beneath him cracks. The Bladebreakers urge him to jump to safety. Kai leaps back onto the ice and asks for forgiveness. He then boards a helicopter to return to the Abbey, intending to make things right with his former team.
