After the Neo Borg attack, the Bladebreakers are stranded in the Russian Tundra until Oliver and Enrique arrive in a bus. They are directed to an abandoned palace where Ralf challenges Takao to a battle. Takao loses the first two matches and becomes angry. Ralf instructs him to channel his power into his blade, confusing Takao. Max reminds Takao of their previous stadium battle, leading Takao to realize he must cooperate with his Bit Beast. In a third match, Takao defeats Ralf. Kaichou reveals this lesson was designed to prepare the team for the final match against the Neo Borg at the World Championships, emphasizing the need to access their inner power to survive.
