With the World Championship Finals approaching, Kai challenges Sergei to a Beybattle, believing his knowledge of the Neo Borg provides an edge. During the best-of-three match, Sergei’s Seaborg summons a tsunami in the Black Sea Bowl that overwhelms Dranzer. Desperate, Kai accepts Voltaire’s offer of Black Dranzer’s power in exchange for betraying his friends. Instead of using the dark Bey, Kai launches Dranzer and attacks Sergei’s Wolborg with a special move. However, his power proves insufficient, leading to a loss in the second round and Dranzer’s capture. Enraged by Kai’s refusal to use Black Dranzer, Voltaire vows to destroy Kai and his teammates for their perceived betrayal.
