During armor fitting, Gorone instructs Shikibu Kora to move like a rhinoceros. Intruders appear, and Hachisu engages them, but a massive one-eyed bandaged man resists her attacks and corners her. Shikibu intervenes, but the intruder matches his strength, forcing both into a crevasse. A flashback reveals Shikibu’s lonely fate as a bandaged boy. Meanwhile, Hibiki delivers armor, causing Shikibu severe pain as his body rejects it. Hachisu wraps him to ease suffering, reminding him of his duty. Hibiki meets the intruder, who blocks her gaze. Hachiro then strikes the intruder with his sword, causing him to vanish. Shikibu and Hachisu find the wounded man, and Shikibu uses his full power to kill him.
