Ep. 3: Batman tests a gyroscopic deflection device during a gang confrontation
Lucius Fox constructs a gyroscopic electromagnetic device to deflect small-arms fire after a Wayne Enterprises satellite accident. Bruce Wayne attends a charity golf tournament hosted by Ronald Marshall, where he discusses the death of activist Teresa Williams. Later, as Batman, he hijacks boats owned by Sal Maroni and Yuri "the Russian" Dimitrov to force a truce. Using the new device, he attacks both gangs simultaneously. When Maroni’s man fires at him, the bullet deflects and kills Anton, a member of the Russian’s crew. Distressed by the outcome, Batman takes Anton to the hospital. He subsequently returns the device to Fox, explaining that it works too well and insisting that such lethal power must remain solely under his control to ensure it is used responsibly.
