A vampire bat informs Blade that Frost is located in Sumatra, where he is mining silver using slave labor. The local shaman, Agus, asks Blade to help cure women who have turned into Sundel bolongs. Blade doubts the cure and attacks the mine. Agus is killed by his infected wife, proving the cure ineffective. He then uses sacred water to destroy all the Sundel bolongs. Blade enters the mine and fights a Rat-Man vampire named Saragi to the death. Before continuing his search for Frost, Blade collects some of the sacred water.
