Ep. 12: Elle and Water Lily clash while Davis seeks justice and Marlowe hunts Joseph.

Elle and Water Lily fight until LAPD officers arrive, forcing them to flee. In an alley, Alani Davis reveals she found replicant bodies in the desert and offers protection to help bring Wallace Jr. to justice, but Elle distrusts her and escapes. Davis attempts to call the acting chief of police regarding Wallace Jr.'s involvement in the Black Lotus case but is impaled by Water Lily before she can report. Water Lily then calls Wallace Jr. to inform him of Elle's escape. Wallace Jr. orders her to stop pursuing Elle, confident she will find her way to him. When Water Lily turns around, Davis is gone. Meanwhile, Marlowe flies his spinner to Joseph's apartment. Joseph, who has developed feelings for Elle and is protecting her, opens fire on Marlowe. They exchange gunfire, moving from the apartment into the building's atrium. Joseph notes Marlowe's lack of emotion, prompting Marlowe to recall that he retired Selene years ago. Joseph is shot in the shoulder and flees into the elevator. They fight hand-to-hand until Marlowe retrieves his gun, allowing Joseph to reach the rooftop. On the roof, they continue shooting. After being hit several times, Joseph drags himself to the edge, hides, and ambushes Marlowe. Joseph picks up Marlowe's shotgun and shoots him multiple times, sending Marlowe falling into the atrium and several stories down to the ground. Joseph collapses and falls unconscious. Elle reaches the rooftop and awakens Joseph, who learns she did not receive the memory wipe. Joseph advises her to leave the city, but Elle points out that Wallace Jr. remains a constant threat as long as he lives. She vows to end the conflict once and for all.
