Following a conversation with Hirako, Ichigo recognizes that his inner Hollow is growing beyond his control. At home, the Hollow’s voice taunts him, promising to eventually take over his body. Meanwhile, Arrancar Yammy Riyalgo and Ulquiorra Schiffer arrive in Karakura Town. Yammy begins consuming the souls of local humans. Orihime and Chad arrive to intervene but are easily defeated by Yammy. As Yammy attempts to deliver a killing blow against Orihime, Ichigo arrives just in time to block the attack. This sequence marks the beginning of the Arrancar: The Arrival arc, specifically episode 4 out of 22.
