Ichigo, Renji, and Rukia gather at the Kuchiki residence to discuss Kariya’s life. Ichigo notes how Rukia transferring her powers altered his existence, while Renji remembers his promotion to lieutenant of the sixth division. Rukia recalls her assignment to the real world. The group then returns to the human realm. Meanwhile, Yoruichi brings Koga, who survived his battle with Hitsugaya, to Rantao’s hideout. Concealed from Soul Reapers, Koga recovers from his injuries and accepts that the Bounts are destined to eventually die out. The episode concludes with Ichigo and his friends traveling back to the real world, followed by a mysterious figure entering Karakura Town.
