Kisuke Urahara meets Isshin to discuss the Arrancar serving Sousuke Aizen and the Vizards, noting the Hougyoku requires one year to fully awaken. At school, Hirako urges Ichigo to join the Vizards, warning that his inner Hollow will consume him otherwise. Hiyori Sarugaki confronts Hirako about his failure to recruit Ichigo. Orihime Inoue and Yasutora "Chad" Sado approach the pair, prompting Hirako to intervene and prevent Hiyori from attacking them. Meanwhile, Uryuu accepts Ryuuken's proposal.
