Wonderweiss fights Mashiro until her mask breaks, but Kensei Muguruma intervenes and releases his bankai. Hiyori explains to Aizen why the Vizards hold a grudge from one hundred and one years ago. Despite Hirako’s warnings, Hiyori attacks Aizen and is stabbed in the back by Gin, sustaining severe injuries. Hirako catches her as she apologizes for failing to hold back, then calls for Ichigo, noting Orihime can still heal her. Meanwhile, Ichigo travels to Hueco Mundo to assist Rukia, Chad, and Renji. The trio battles Yammy, attempting various tactics to defeat him, but they are ultimately overcome in this fight.
