Komamura, Love, Rose, and Lisa join Hitsugaya against Aizen but are easily defeated. Soi Fon, Kyouraku, and Hirako confuse Aizen, allowing Hitsugaya to strike the final blow. While Soul Reapers cheer, a shocked Ichigo questions their actions. It is revealed that everyone except Ichigo was under Aizen’s shikai illusion. Hitsugaya had mistakenly stabbed Momo, while Aizen was impersonating her. Enraged, Hitsugaya charges at Aizen but is cut down, losing his left limbs. Soi Fon, Kyouraku, and Hirako attempt to attack Aizen but are also cut down. This event occurs during the Arrancar: Downfall arc, episode 27 of 39.
