Tensa Zangetsu reveals his inner hollow, showing Ichigo it was the form used to defeat Ulquiorra. The two entities merge, resuming their battle. Meanwhile, Don Kanonji intervenes between Tatsuki and Aizen, determined to fight. Rangiku arrives to prevent his death, ordering Kanonji to take Tatsuki with him. She and Gin depart separately. Tatsuki and Kanonji later reunite with Keigo. Gin wounds Rangiku and rejoins Aizen to pursue them. This segment is part of the Arrancar: Downfall arc, specifically episode 35 out of 39.
