Ichigo wounds Aizen, triggering another Hougyoku transformation that turns Aizen into a hollow-like creature. Despite losing the use of his left arm, Ichigo releases the Final Getsuga Tenshou. A flashback reveals he achieved this power in his inner world by accepting Tensa Zangetsu, allowing him to become the attack itself at the cost of his Soul Reaper abilities. A torrent of darkness overwhelms Aizen, but the Arrancar prepares to finish the weakened Ichigo. Urahara intervenes, activating a secondary kidou seal he planted earlier. With Aizen’s power diminished by Ichigo, the seal takes effect, causing the Hougyoku to reject him and resulting in his sealing.
