Imprisoned fifth division lieutenant Momo Hinamori remembers her time at the Soul Reaper Academy, where she became friends with Renji and Izuru. During a field trip to hunt hollows, she and her classmates were rescued from a powerful attack by captain Sousuke Aizen and then-lieutenant Ichimaru. In the present, Hinamori incapacitates her guard and breaks out of her cell. She intends to track down and confront the individual responsible for killing Aizen. This narrative segment is part of the Soul Society: The Rescue arc.
