With no Bount sightings, Urahara instructs Ichigo to return home with modified souls to develop countermeasures, while he and Renji investigate the Bounts' mansion. Ririn and Kuroudo don special suits to impersonate Bounts and seek revenge on Ichigo, but the ruse backfires when Rukia believes the deception and relentlessly pursues them throughout the city. Meanwhile, Ririn, Kuroudo, and Noba brainstorm various concepts, yet by the end of the day, they fail to create a functional anti-Bount device. This segment is part of the Bount arc, specifically episode 17 out of 28.
