Ep. 2: Kyotaro recovers from injury while comforting Yamada about her self-perceived selfishness.

After bathing at Yamada’s residence, Kyotaro struggles with a minor wardrobe mishap involving her pet dog before they share a hotpot meal. Reviewing Yamada’s yearbook prompts her to confess feelings of selfishness and worry about being a burden to others. Kyotaro comforts her by explaining that genuine friends would voice their frustrations directly rather than hiding them. When Yamada’s mother returns, Kyotaro hides to avoid detection, eventually escaping the apartment unnoticed despite a close encounter with Yamada’s father. Later, Kyotaro washes and returns the borrowed tracksuit. Time passes, and Kyotaro’s cast is removed while his voice deepens. Although he feels anxious about these physical changes, Yamada enthusiastically encourages him to use his new, deeper voice more often when addressing her.
