Team 7 successfully escorts Katasuke to the scientific ninja tools research facility without incident. Boruto is surprised to learn there is one more task remaining. Although initially reluctant to assist the facility's scientists, including his former classmate Sumire, he agrees to help test their developing tools. Boruto begins to enjoy the process as the scientists' obvious passion for using these tools to improve lives sways his stance on scientific ninja tools. Their stay is cut short when Naruto calls to assign an urgent new mission. The team must rendezvous with Mugino and Konohamaru, ending their time at the facility abruptly.
