Ep. 284: Sasuke Investigates Zansul's Cellar Secrets Using Disguise and Earth Style
Sasuke and his cellmates monitor Meno while Sakura greets Fandal, the Prime Minister's envoy. Sakura leads Fandal to an enclosed room where she transforms into him and enters a genjutsu. Disguised as the envoy, Sakura meets Zansul while secretly hiding Sasuke inside Fandal's cane. Sasuke uses Earth Style to create a key for Zansul's basement. Sakura questions Zansul about progress, but he refuses to share details with a mere envoy. After breaking into the cellar, Sasuke discovers live chickens, ancient Meno fossils, and an eerie altar. He deduces that Zansul used a Reanimation Jutsu variant to resurrect the creature using chickens. Sasuke exits through a back entrance and is attacked by a Meno. He rewrites the creature's loyalty to Zansul using his knowledge of Reanimation jutsus. Meanwhile, Zansul reanimates a new Meno with chickens in the cave.
